We are now using the excellent LinkClaw service to manage, monitor and promote backlinks to all our sites.
What it does is monitor and check all backlinks to any sites you ask it to. So if you have paid good money for a link on a top site, LinkClaw makes sure it’s still there. It also monitors whether it’s “dofollow” or not. It does this automatically (once set up), and produces reports.
You can ask LinkClaw to “auto-detect” backlinks to your sites, so you don’t even have to import a list of backlinks. Which is exactly what we did.
LinkClaw creates an RSS feed of all VALID links to your site. (one feed per site/campaign). You can then use this to broadcast your backlinks all over the web (which is good news for any sites providing backlinks, but also good news for your link juice..)
(If your sites link to each other, then it’s good news for you TWICE!)
Full instructions are included on how to use the RSS feeds, but we’ve thought of a simpler way: use feedburner functions to syndicate the backlinks feeds – use pingshot, and also socialize to broadcast your backlinks on Twitter..
LinkClaw is currently on special offer: 50% OFF!
There are several versions: single site, multi-site, and developer (to use on client’s sites).
